Did you know that EASAV and Calgary Academy of Veterinary Medicine (CAVM) members share membership reciprocity?
This means that members of either association qualify for member rates with the other. Click here to see their line-up of CE events. 
If you are a member of CAVM, please sign up to use our website and let us know you have done so, so we can activate your free Associate membership. 

EASAV has two membership categories:

• Voting memberships: for all veterinarians registered and in good standing with the ABVMA
• Associate membership (Non-voting) category for AHTs, CAVM members (free) & out-of-province or unregistered veterinarians (on maternity leave, foreign-trained - but not yet registered) 

EASAV Membership categories:

Voting Membership ($130/yr) - for DVMs REGISTERED with the ABVMA

Benefits:

• vote on association affairs and attend the AGM
• volunteer on the Executive Board of Directors
• attend all social events, free of charge
• attend CE seminar attendance and video streaming at discounted member rates
• access member rates to continuing education offered by the Calgary Academy of Veterinary Medicine (CAVM)
  
• give input on which CE topics you would like each year, upon membership renewal
• advertise on our classified ads page, free of charge
• advertise on and access our locum list
• list your clinic & clinic services on the EASAV website clinic directory
• serve on committees, i.e.: EASAV EHS Liaison Committee
• access our online community resources & receive email notifications of upcoming CE, events and industry-related content (Notices from WILDNorth, the EHS, AHAS, other CE)
• all benefits listed under the Associate Membership Category (below)

Associate Membership (non-voting) ($75/yr) - for:

• All RVts &/or AHTs
• DVMs who are NOT REGISTERED with the ABVMA

Benefits: 

• attend all social events, free of charge (exception: Annual General Meeting AGM - as they are not voting members)
• attend CE seminar attendance and video streaming at discounted member rates
• give input on which CE topics you would like each year, upon membership renewal
• advertise on our classified ads page, free of charge
• advertise on and access our locum list
• serve on social committees
• access our online community resources & receive email notifications of upcoming CE, events and industry-related content (Notices from WILDNorth, the EHS, AHAS, other CE)
• Access to past seminar notes & private online forum discussions/Facebook Group
• Access to EASAV's Projector for work-related meetings - ask us for details
• Exclusive invitations to attend informal dinners with local and visiting specialists - numbers are limited
• Free organization of special dinners for members (i.e. retirement party planning)
• Opportunity to serve on some committees and projects. i.e.: Dreamnight at the Zoo 

Not interested or don't qualify for a membership? You can sign-up to use our website to: 

• receive CE notices
• pay non-member vet or support staff rates for live CE & recorded seminars
• register & pay for staff to attend our CE or events!
• participate in some of our volunteer events
• access some of our website community resources

By becoming a member of the Edmonton Association of Small Animal Veterinarians, you are collaborating with other veterinary professionals to bring the following programs and opportunities to our profession and making Edmonton a rewarding place to work and live!

• Excellent quality, local CE for veterinarians, AHTs and support staff
• Veterinary news sent by email to members and website users & faxes send to clinics in Alberta
• Financial and/or Communicative Support for the following charities/institutions: WILDNorth, Tails of Help, Alberta Helping Animals Society, Scholarships for students in the Animal Health Program at NAIT & Agriculture Program at University of Alberta, Edmonton Humane Society, Animal Care and Control Centre, etc.
• Access to the EASAV Peer Support Group which meets on the second Wednesday of every month either virtually or at the VCA Mayfield Animal Hospital
• Dr. Milton Ness Memorial Teddy Bear Hospital - an annual volunteer event held at the Edmonton Valley Zoo for children who are patients of the Stollery (Pre-pandemic: we hope to do this once again)
